Eastwest Medico is the EU and US distributor for The BlueCross One Step Novel Coronavirus Test

The BlueCross One Step Novel Coronavirus Test is an immunochromatographic assay for the rapid, qualitative detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) IgG/IgM antibody in human whole blood, serum or plasma sample. The test is to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of coronavirus infection disease (COVID-19), which is caused by SARS-CoV-2.

The test is approved by CFDA for export and has excellent sensitivity and specificity.

  • Works with serum, plasma and whole blood
  • Tests for IgM and IgG antibodies
  • 10-15 minutes per test

Test Principle

Blue Cross One Step Novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) is a chromatographic lateral flow immunoassay. A recombinant SARS-CoV-2 antigen conjugated to colloidal gold embedded in the sample pad reacts with the SARS-CoV-2 antibody present in serum/plasma/whole blood-forming conjugate-SARS-CoV-2 antibody complex. As the mixture is allowed to migrate along the test strip, the conjugate-SARS-CoV-2 antibody complex is captured by mouse anti-human IgM-μ chain (T1) or mouse anti-human IgG (T2) immobilized on a membrane forming a colored test line in the test region. A negative sample does not produce a test line due to the absence of a colloidal gold conjugate-SARS-CoV-2 antibody complex. A colored control line in the control region appears at the end of the test procedure regardless of the test result. This control line is the result of colloidal gold conjugate binding to the anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody immobilized on the membrane, and it indicates that the colloidal gold conjugate is functional.

How it is used

Please read the instruction for use carefully before performing the test.

  1. Allow the device, buffer, and specimen to equilibrate to room temperature (10ºC ~30ºC) prior to testing.
  2. Remove a test cassette from the foil pouch by tearing at the notch and place it on a level surface.
  3. Transfer 10 μL of whole blood or serum or plasma specimen to the sample well (small well) and then add 2-3 drops (80 μL) of buffer solution to the buffer well (large well).
  4. As the test begins to work, you will see a purple color move across the result window in the center of the test device.
  5. Wait for 15 minutes and read the results. Do not read results after 20 minutes.
